NDSU Virtual Cell Animations Project animation 'Transcription'. For more information please see http://vcell.ndsu.edu/animations Transcription is a vital process in biological lifeforms. It is through this process that the biological roadmap encoded in a strand of DNA is used to produce a complementary RNA copy. The RNA can then go on to help produce the proteins and enzymes that power living organisms.

The videos center on Pinky's certification and experience in teaching science at the high school level. Pinky's teacher certification is in grades 4-8 science and 8-12 composite science (encompassing biology, chemistry, and physics). Amoeba Sisters videos only cover concepts that Pinky is certified to teach, and they focus on her specialty: secondary life science. For more information about The Amoeba Sisters, visit: http://www.amoebasisters.com/about-us.html We cover the basics in biology concepts at the secondary level. If you are looking to discover more about biology and go into depth beyond these basics, our recommended reference is the FREE, peer reviewed, open source OpenStax biology textbook: https://openstax.org/details/books/biology P.S. On our website, we emphasize that our videos contain science comics- not scientific illustrations. In real life, amoebas don't look like our characters. Our illustrated cell cartoons are definitely not to scale. Nitrogen and carbon don't tap dance. DNA is right-handed (but there are exceptions- worth a google) and doesn't have eyes...a face...or a top hat... Microbiologia - Transferência Horizontal de Genes em Bactérias

01:24
As músicas tocadas no vídeo são: - Team Rocket Motto - X-men (X-men First Class) (Henry Jackman) - Magneto (X-men First Class) (Henry Jackman) Este vídeo foi feito para a disciplina Práticas de Ensino de Biologia II -- 2011 -- Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC)
