Product Aspect Ranking and Its Application

TO GET THIS PROJECT THROUGH ONLINE OR TRAINING SESSION CONTACT: LansA Informatics Pvt Ltd No 165, 5th Street, Crosscut road, Gandhipuram, Coimbatore - 641 012 Landline: 0422 - 4204373 Mobile: +91 90 953 953 33 Email :[email protected] Website: www.lansainformatics.com Blog: www.lansastudentscdc.blogspot.com ABSTRACT: Numerous consumer reviews of products are now available on the Internet. Consumer reviews contain rich and valuable knowledge for both firms and users. However, the reviews are often disorganized, leading to difficulties in information navigation and knowledge acquisition. This article proposes a product aspect ranking framework, which automatically identifies the important aspects of products from online consumer reviews, aiming at improving the usability of the numerous reviews. The important product aspects are identified based on two observations: (a) the important aspects are usually commented by a large number of consumers; and (b) consumer opinions on the important aspects greatly influence their overall opinions on the product. In particular, given the consumer reviews of a product, we first identify product aspects by a shallow dependency parser and determine consumer opinions on these aspects via a sentiment classifier. We then develop a probabilistic aspect ranking algorithm to infer the importance of aspects by simultaneously considering aspect frequency and the influence of consumer opinions given to each aspect over their overall opinions. The experimental results on a review corpus of 21 popular products in eight domains demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Moreover, we apply product aspect ranking to two real-world applications, i.e., document-level sentiment classification and extractive review summarization, and achieve significant performance improvements, which demonstrate the capacity of product aspect ranking in facilitating real-world applications.

Probabilistic Topic Models and User Behavior

01:22:58
Probabilistic topic models provide a suite of tools for analyzing large document collections. Topic modeling algorithms discover the latent themes that underlie the documents and identify how each document exhibits those themes. Topic modeling can be used to help explore, summarize, and form predictions about documents. Topic modeling ideas have been adapted to many domains, including images, music, networks, genomics, and neuroscience. Traditional topic modeling algorithms analyze a document collection and estimate its latent thematic structure. However, many collections contain an additional type of data: how people use the documents. For example, readers click on articles in a newspaper website, scientists place articles in their personal libraries, and lawmakers vote on a collection of bills. Behavior data is essential both for making predictions about users (such as for a recommendation system) and for understanding how a collection and its users are organized. In this talk, I will review the basics of topic modeling and describe our recent research on collaborative topic models, models that simultaneously analyze a collection of texts and its corresponding user behavior. We studied collaborative topic models on 80,000 scientists' libraries from Mendeley and 100,000 users' click data from the arXiv. Collaborative topic models enable interpretable recommendation systems, capturing scientists' preferences and pointing them to articles of interest. Further, these models can organize the articles according to the discovered patterns of readership. For example, we can identify articles that are important within a field and articles that transcend disciplinary boundaries. More broadly, topic modeling is a case study in the large field of applied probabilistic modeling. Finally, I will survey some recent advances in this field. I will show how modern probabilistic modeling gives data scientists a rich language for expressing statistical assumptions and scalable algorithms for uncovering hidden patterns in massive data.

Developmental Origins of Brain Circuit Architecture and Psychiatric Disorders (Day 1) Air date: Thursday, November 29, 2018, 8:30:00 AM Category: Conferences Runtime: 07:43:30 Description: Developmental neurobiology is a critical ingredient for understanding the structure and function of the human brain. Classical anatomists recognized that the brain’s component architecture is most accurately seen through the lens of neurodevelopment. This principle has been further applied to understand the brain’s internal connections, capacity for learning, and functional maturation. By drawing together researchers from different fields, this symposium aims to generate healthy discussion and debate on how advances in neurodevelopment have shaped and will continue to shape, our understanding of brain architecture and function, both in health and in psychiatric disorders. Symposium on Blockchain for Robotic Systems

07:48:24
Robotic systems are revolutionizing applications from transportation to health care. However, many of the characteristics that make robots ideal for future applications—such as autonomy, self-learning, and knowledge sharing—also raise concerns about the evolution of the technology. Blockchain, an emerging technology that originated in the digital currency field, shows great potential to make robotic operations more secure, autonomous, flexible, and even profitable, thereby bridging the gap between purely scientific domains and real-world applications. This symposium seeks to move beyond the classical view of robotic systems to advance our understanding about the possibilities and limitations of combining state-of-the art robotic systems with blockchain technology. Improved Privacy-Preserving P2P Multimedia Distribution Based on Recombined Fingerprints

Mobile: (0) 9952649690, Email: [email protected], web: www.jpinfotech.org, Blog: www.jpinfotech.blogspot.com Anonymous fingerprint has been suggested as a convenient solution for the legal distribution of multimedia contents with copyright protection whilst preserving the privacy of buyers, whose identities are only revealed in case of illegal re-distribution. However, most of the existing anonymous fingerprinting protocols are impractical for two main reasons: 1) the use of complex time-consuming protocols and/or homomorphic encryption of the content, and 2) a unicast approach for distribution that does not scale for a large number of buyers. This paper stems from a previous proposal of recombined fingerprints which overcomes some of these drawbacks. However, the recombined fingerprint approach requires a complex graph search for traitor tracing, which needs the participation of other buyers, and honest proxies in its P2P distribution scenario. This paper focuses on removing these disadvantages resulting in an efficient, scalable, privacy-preserving and P2P-based fingerprinting system.

EMR: A Scalable Graph-based Ranking Model for Content-based Image Retrieval

EMR: A Scalable Graph-based Ranking Model for Content-based Image Retrieval To get this project in ONLINE or through TRAINING Sessions, Contact:JP INFOTECH, Old No.31, New No.86, 1st Floor, 1st Avenue, Ashok Pillar, Chennai -83. Landmark: Next to Kotak Mahendra Bank. Pondicherry Office: JP INFOTECH, #45, Kamaraj Salai, Thattanchavady, Puducherry -9. Landmark: Next to VVP Nagar Arch. Mobile: (0) 9952649690 , Email: [email protected], web: www.jpinfotech.org Blog: www.jpinfotech.blogspot.com Graph-based ranking models have been widely applied in information retrieval area. In this paper, we focus on a well known graph-based model - the Ranking on Data Manifold model, or Manifold Ranking (MR). Particularly, it has been successfully applied to content-based image retrieval, because of its outstanding ability to discover underlying geometrical structure of the given image database. However, manifold ranking is computationally very expensive, which significantly limits its applicability to large databases especially for the cases that the queries are out of the database (new samples). We propose a novel scalable graph-based ranking model called Efficient Manifold Ranking (EMR), trying to address the shortcomings of MR from two main perspectives: scalable graph construction and efficient ranking computation. Specifically, we build an anchor graph on the database instead of a traditional k-nearest neighbor graph, and design a new form of adjacency matrix utilized to speed up the ranking. An approximate method is adopted for efficient out-of-sample retrieval. Experimental results on some large scale image databases demonstrate that EMR is a promising method for real world retrieval applications.

Raising the Digital Trajectory of Healthcare

01:32:36
Table of Contents Q&A 1:14:29 Should healthcare be more digitized? Absolutely. But if we go about it the wrong way... or the naïve way... we will take two steps forward and three steps back. Join Health Catalyst's President of Technology, Dale Sanders, for a 90-minute webinar in which he will describe the right way to go about the technical digitization of healthcare so that it increases the sense of humanity during the journey. The topics Dale covers include: • The human, empathetic components of healthcare’s digitization strategy • The AI-enabled healthcare encounter in the near future • Why the current digital approach to patient engagement will never be effective • The dramatic near-term potential of bio-integrated sensors • Role of the “Digitician” and patient data profiles • The technology and architecture of a modern digital platform • The role of AI vs. the role of traditional data analysis in healthcare • Reasons that home grown digital platforms will not scale, economically Most of the data that’s generated in healthcare is about administrative overhead of healthcare, not about the current state of patients’ well-being. On average, healthcare collects data about patients three times per year from which providers are expected to optimize diagnoses, treatments, predict health risks and cultivate long-term care plans. Where’s the data about patients’ health from the other 362 days per year? McKinsey ranks industries based on their Digital Quotient (DQ), which is derived from a cross product of three areas: Data Assets x Data Skills x Data Utilization. Healthcare ranks lower than all industries except mining. It’s time for healthcare to raise its Digital Quotient, however, it’s a delicate balance. The current “data-driven” strategy in healthcare is a train wreck, sucking the life out of clinicians’ sense of mastery, autonomy, and purpose. Healthcare’s digital strategy has largely ignored the digitization of patients’ state of health, but that’s changing, and the change will be revolutionary. Driven by bio-integrated sensors and affordable genomics, in the next five years, many patients will possess more data and AI-driven insights about their diagnosis and treatment options than healthcare systems, turning the existing dialogue with care providers on its head. It’s going to happen. Let’s make it happen the right way.

Implementation of Signal Detection Capabilities in the Sentinel System

08:06:56
On December 3, 2018, in cooperative agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Robert J. Margolis, MD, Center for Health Policy at Duke University will convene a public workshop to explore opportunities to implement signal detection capabilities in the Sentinel System. Authorized in 2007 by the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act (FDAAA), the Sentinel System is an active and fully functioning postmarket safety surveillance system that can rapidly scale distributed analyses on data collected by a diverse range of Sentinel Data Partners to identify potential safety risks related to the use of prescription drugs. To continue advancing and modernizing this data infrastructure, the Agency is seeking broad stakeholder input on the landscape of methodological approaches for signal detection, as well as the opportunities and challenges to implement these approaches in Sentinel’s distributed data network. Discussion will also consider key governance and operational needs for implementing signal detection tools in a hypothesis free environment. Stakeholder input received at this workshop will further inform the Agency’s thinking around these priority issues and support strategic planning in the Sentinel System.

Is Administrative Review of Granted Patents Constitutional? | Impact on the Administrative State

01:32:45
Is Administrative Review of Granted Patents Constitutional? The U.S. Supreme Court granted certiorari in Oil States Energy Services v. Greene’s Energy Group, a case in which the petitioner argues that the most prominent U.S. Patent and Trademark Office process for analyzing the validity of granted patents “violates the Constitution by extinguishing private property rights through a non-Article III forum without a jury.” Duke Law's Center for Innovation Policy gathered distinguished practitioners and legal scholars from a variety of perspectives to discuss potential implications of the case for patent law, for the administrative state, and for affected industries. Panel 2: Oil States’ Impact on the Administrative State Panelists: John F. The New Statistics: Research Integrity & the New Statistics (Workshop Part 2)

29:43
Featuring Geoff Cumming La Trobe University, Australia Leading scholars in psychology and other disciplines are striving to help scientists enhance the way they conduct, analyze, and report their research. They advocate the use of “the new statistics,”— effect sizes, confidence intervals, and meta-analysis. APS’ flagship journal, Psychological Science, has been inviting authors to use the “new statistics” as part of a comprehensive effort to enhance research methodology. In this workshop, Geoff Cumming, a leading expert in new statistics, explains why all these changes are necessary, and suggests how psychological scientists can implement them. The workshop was recorded at the 2014 APS Annual Convention in San Francisco, and is presented here as six video segments. It makes extensive use of interactive simulations to illustrate concepts, and provides a wealth of practical guidance. Part 2 Includes: • The replicability crisis in many scientific disciplines • The over-reliance on p = .05 as an underlying cause of the replicability problem • Solutions being developed to enhance research integrity, including: • pre-registration of studies • full reporting of all procedures and data • encouragement of replication • The need for open science.

Algebraic Techniques for Multilingual Document Clustering

01:01:52
Google Tech Talks January 25, 2011 Presented by Brett Bader. ABSTRACT Multilingual documents pose difficulties for clustering by topic, not least because translating everything to a common language is not feasible with a large corpus or many languages. This presentation will address those difficulties with a variety of novel algebraic methods for efficiently clustering multilingual text documents, and brieflyillustrate their implementation via high performance computing. The methods use a multilingual parallel corpus as a 'Rosetta Stone' from which algorithmic variations (including statistical morphological analysis to bypass the need for stemming) of Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) are able to learn concepts in term space. New documents are projected into this concept space to produce language-independent feature vectors for subsequent use in similarity calculations or machine learning applications. Our experiments show that the new methods have better performance than LSA, and possess some interesting and counter-intuitive properties. Brett W. Bader received his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, studying higher-order methods for optimization and solving systems of nonlinear equations. In 2003, Brett received the John von Neumann Research Fellowship at Sandia National Laboratories, where he now develops algorithms for multi-way data analysis and machine learning for informatics applications in networks and text.

How to use Flash Cards | How to Study | Flashcards Study Tips

05:50
Hello Socratica Friends! We're here to help you be a Great Student. In this episode, we learn about the best way to use FLASH CARDS. Flash cards are a great tool to use anytime you need to memorize facts, fast. They're great for drilling vocabulary terms, learning dates in history...so many uses. The best thing about flash cards is that they help you figure out what you know, and what you don’t know. And although this may be uncomfortable, the best way to master a subject is to focus on what you DON’T know! In this video, we'll show you how we use flash cards, using an important technique known as "spaced repetition." Basically, don't try to cram in all your studying in one go! Make sure you break it up over a couple of days at least, with breaks in between. Try using flashcards following the Pomodoro method! Two fantastic techniques working together to help you be a Great Student. We recommend making flashcards the old fashioned way - with pen and paper, but if you'd like to use an app on your phone, we like Anki. Do you have a different method of studying with flash cards? Acquiring magnetism is a constructive effort. It is a building process. You are rearing a structure. You rise, from the foundation, through successive stories to the culminating peak. The most pleasing, notable structures men build from granite and steel and wood, tower like a Woolworth Building or a Rheims Cathedral-higher and higher, until they finally reach a gold- tipped crown or spire, high in the sunlit sky. And so, in rearing your invisible shrine of personal Success-Magnetism, we now come to the topmost peak of the structure. This book gives you the crowning inspirations, tipped and topped with the final "Golden Laws of Magnetism in all Applied Life." Master these lessons in the magnetism of success, and you will go forth upon the highways and by-ways of life, endowed with a kingly confidence in your ability to win a measure of success achieved by few. But remember-(should discouragement seek to dog your steps)- every great structure requires the process of time. "The giant trees of California were once puny saplings. The slow lapse of time has drawn nature into their mighty hearts." Just as surely as the absorption of natural forces built the giant redwoods, just as surely can you draw upon nature for GIANT POWERS. Frank Channing Haddock was an influential New Thought and self-help author, best known for his multi-volume series The Power-Book Library. Haddock retired from the ministry to become a writer. As a New Thought author and lecturer, he became well known for his teachings on will power, cultivation of the will, ethics, financial and business success, philosophy, and spirituality. Like his contemporaries William Walker Atkinson and Charles F. Haanel, he exemplified the more secular and less overtly religious side of the New Thought movement. Haddock's much respected and extremely popular Power-Book Library was composed of seven titles: Power of Will: a Practical Companion-Book for Unfoldment of Selfhood Through Direct Personal Culture (1907) Power for Success Through Culture of Vibrant Magnetism The Personal Atmosphere Business Power The Culture of Courage Practical Psychology Creative Personality Other works by Frank Channing Haddock include: Mastery of Self for Wealth, Power, & Success The Life of Rev.
