That fast ninja is back to mine more gems and precious minerals in this fast-paced puzzle game. Continue your job as a miner here in Ninja Miner 2. The objective is the same as the previous game; to collect the gems scattered in the maze and head back to the exit. There are now monsters on the area and you will lose lives if you bump on them. Aside from that, there are now extra quests for each level. You will not fail the whole level if you do not meet its requirements but you will get extra bonus points if you finish them.
Mines and darkness go hand in hand. Ninjas and darkness also go hand in hand. Therefore, by the transitive and multiplicative property of mystical theorems (or something like that), ninjas and mining should also go hand in hand. Well, perhaps not, but Ninja Miner 2 is a fun game nevertheless.
As the game has "miner" in it, you'd expect that it would have something to do with mining, collecting resources, managing your inventory, delving deeper, etc... The "ninja" in the title however would make you think that you're using stealth and silently performing bloody murder on your enemies somewhere in feudal Japan. Neither are true though in this game, and instead, you're presented with a nifty little puzzle game that, while simple-looking, will have you scratching your head as the levels get harder.
The game looks really nifty. Everything is all sleek and snazzy, with a professional touch to everything. The sprites, while probably just a blur most of the time, animate really well and make for a great visual treat. More than the characters though, the environment, the gems, and the background really make the game pop out over other free online games in the genre. It's not only the visual aesthetic of the game though, the game sounds pretty sweet as well. You're mostly going to be listening to the same things over and over, but those things all sound great. You're not going to be sold any cheap substandard stuff here, it's all great professional quality stuff.
As aforementioned, the game is a puzzle game. You control a ninja (who knows what he's doing in a mine) who's off collecting treasures and mining for riches. To do so, he clings to ceilings, hangs from walls, and crouches on floors. And his only means of locomotion it would seem, is to make straight jumps and dives. This means that he can only ever travel in straight lines from floor, to ceiling, to walls. This makes traversing the game tough, as movement has to be calculated to bounce off the surfaces in just the right order and in just the right sequence to snag all of the treasures. What's more, there are obstacles across the levels such as spikes, roving baddies, rising water, and the sort. Sounds like fun? You betcha, and it can get pretty tricky too. Nothing that'll have you stumped for hours, but still a bit of a workout for the brain.
So what are you waiting for? If you're looking for a fun and snazzy puzzle game, then look no further, Ninja Miner 2 is the game for you!
