Most AMAZING Trucks In The World!

12:17
Check out the most amazing trucks in the world! From the largest to the most heavy, this top 10 list of craziest and coolest trucks is absolutely awesome! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "Most AMAZING Military Vehicles!" video here: https://youtu.be/GI1pQS3fbgc Watch our "SCIFI Weapons That Actually EXIST!" video here: https://youtu.be/REi8y34Y8Bc Watch our "AMAZING Places Around The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/xdWeyQ86cPM #9 Hitachi EH5000AC-3 The EH5000AC-3 is Hitachi’s largest rigid-frame hauler in the history of the company’s existence. They use a unique hauler technology that has lasted them through the ages. In addition to the timeless technique, they’ve added a brand new, high-efficiency Advanced IGBT AC-Drive system. Hitachi is one of the most eco-friendly companies that produce hauling trucks. They can raise profits by lowering fuel and maintenance costs. They are able to spend less, to make more, and get more done in the process. The machine itself weighs about 550 tons, but has a payload of 325 tons. With a 2,850 hp, the Hitachi EH5000AC-3 knows how to get the most out of its fuel. It also has safety measures built in. A Slip/Slide Control System will add traction in slippery conditions, such a rainstorm or when ice is on the roads. Not to mention, this makes sharp turns much easier as well. A pitch control system will allow this truck to drive over rough roads with ease. Meaning, the driver won’t lose any of its load when off-road. With LCDs, heating/cooling controls, independent cabs, monitoring cameras, and much more, it is likely this machine is the most advanced and well thought out truck in the world. #8 BelAZ 75710 As the make suggests, the BelAZ is a manufacturer based in Belarus. As of 2016, it is the world's largest, highest payload capacity haul truck. The BelAz 75710 is equipped with a two-axle setup yet the wheels are a four to an axle! Because of this, it also needs eight large 59/80R63 tires. Four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraulic steering is seen on this truck. A funny addition considering its turning radius is only 20 meters. It can be loaded to a capacity of nearly 500 short tons and still drive as usual. Though empty, it still weighs over 350 tons. It is 66 feet long, 26 feet tall, and 32 feet wide. That’s about three times as tall as a Giraffe. Rather than using the power of one single engine, it is powered by two 65-litre 16-cylinder diesel engines, each of these engines having 2,300 horsepower. Since the fuel consumption is 198 g/kWh per engine, there is an option to use only one engine when carrying smaller loads. At its best, it can travel 40 miles per hour. BelAz believes in this 2013 truck so much, that they have invested $644 million in increasing its total production capacity. #7 Caterpillar 797F The Caterpillar 797F is Caterpillar's largest, highest payload capacity haul truck! It appears to be every little boy’s dream to drive one of these when he grows up as the 797 series is the perfect Tonka truck model! The Caterpillar 797F was first mentioned to the public at MINExpo International in September, 2008. This guy was the successor to the 797B. The 797F has a higher payload capacity and a more powerful, more efficient engine than its predecessor. Because of these increases, Caterpillar could meet the needs of mine operators' so they were able to increase the efficiency of their work. They also saved money by reducing the costs considering the payload was much higher, meaning less trips, less fuel, less time. The payload capacity? 400 short tons! The horsepower? A gross 4,000! The top speed? 42 miles per hour! This truck is fully geared with a rear axle mounted, computer controlled, seven speed planetary transmissions that is equipped with an integral lock-up torque converter. #6 Bucyrus MT 6300AC You have to see this military-style machine to believe it! Built for mining, it is a sight to behold and a wondrous machine unlike any other! The Bucyrus MT6300AC is an off road, double-axle, ultra class, diesel/AC electric powertrain haul truck. It was designed and manufactured by Bucyrus International Inc. in America. The MT6300AC is the company’s biggest, highest payload capacity haul truck, and closing in on the highest in the world at 400 short tons. Even fully-loaded, this hauler can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. On February 19, 2010, the Terex Unit Rig MT6300AC was re-branded which created the Bucyrus MT6300AC. This took place when Bucyrus International Inc. took over the mining equipment area of Terex Corporation. You may know Bucyrus makes as Caterpillar's UnitRigs as in 2011, Caterpillar took over a good part of the Bucyrus trucks.

Fuel: How to Maximize Material Moved Per Liter

07:48
Fuel is one of the greatest ongoing costs on a mine — and one of the best opportunities to affect real savings through technology and best practice implementation. This video examines two ways you can lower your fuel costs: by reducing the fuel you burn and by increasing the tons you move per liter. Improving efficiency is a key to both, and technology can help. By using Cat MineStar™ Terrain, miners can be sure that they’re moving the right material to the right place the first time. This increase in efficiency eliminates rehandling and reduces the fuel that would be burned as a result. We’ll hear from a miner who has successfully used Terrain to reduce fuel consumption. In addition, we’ll illustrate how haul road design can be improved to impact fuel consumption. Using Cat MineStar Fleet, a mine in Australia increased the time between fueling to reduce consumption while increasing productivity and profitability.

Rescuing a 1977 Peterbilt 359 From Its Grave - First Time On the Road in 18 Years

21:07
EDIT: I need to clear a few things up for all the naysayers, so PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION. We've had a lot of "super truckers" in the comment section who felt the need to criticize us basically for keeping the deceased truck owner's memory alive, and who criticized the truck that was once his livelihood. That seems rather insulting to both him and his widow. Let's set some things straight, for those of you who think we don't know what we were doing when we acquired this truck: 1. This isn't our first rodeo buying a used truck that's been sitting. We knew what we were getting ourselves into. My buddy Ryan ("Bulldog Chaser") bought this truck cheap knowing he was in for a potential project, and isn't afraid to dump some money into it if he has to. Did you really think we were getting a truck in PERFECT condition after sitting for so many years? Come on now.... 2. Out of respect for Ryan and the lady he purchased the truck from, we will not tell how much he paid for the truck. All you need to know is, he got it for a fraction of what it's worth. 3. We were NOT just dumping starting fluid into the air intake. It only took a couple quick shots of starting fluid before she cranked up. It might look like he was spraying the whole can while it was cranking, but that was NOT the case. He was just holding the can up to the breather in case he needed to spray more in (which he didn't have to). Also, we let it warm up a good 20 minutes before hitting the throttle. You must have missed the jump cuts in the video if you think we were revving it cold. 4. We were NOT worried about a potential runaway when the engine first started. That's a Detroit thing...still possible, but FAR less likely to happen on a Cummins. We had plenty of rags, wood blocks, fire extinguishers, etc. in case the engine WERE to run away. 5. YES, OBVIOUSLY the truck needs a good going-over and a good servicing. Once we get some half-decent weather and get some space freed up in the shop, the truck will get a good thorough cleaning, all the fluids changed, new tires all around, and any other issues will be fixed. 6. Diesel fuel does NOT go "stale" like gasoline does. We were extremely lucky that the old fuel in the tanks was still clean and stable, and had no algae in it. So we weren't afraid to run the truck home on the old fuel - it wasn't going to hurt anything. There are plenty of other YouTube videos of trucks starting and running on diesel fuel much older than what this truck had in it. See for yourself. 7. OBVIOUSLY this truck wasn't suitable to run on the highway. That's not what we were doing with it; we just ran it on back roads that were close to home so we could tow the truck back home if something happened to it. We weren't running it hard either, just babying it to "wake it up". Do you really think we would run it on the highway far from home with worn-out drive tires? 8. We had the original plates, title, bill of sale, and two "blocker" trucks running behind this truck for the short 13-mile drive home. Plus we were only driving it on the backroads. So there wouldn't have been any issues if the police or DOT were to stop us. 9. NO, we are NOT restoring this truck, it has way too much character and we plan to keep running it like its deceased owner would have wanted. We may touch up some of the faded areas of the paint, but the truck will NOT be getting a full restore...it's just too nice for that. It WILL be thoroughly cleaned up inside and out. 10. YES, this is an old truck, with an old mechanical diesel engine. Guess what? THEY SMOKE! All old mechanical engines smoke at least a little bit. That's just the nature of the beast! I hate to say it, but the EPA outlawed these old engines for that reason! For those of you who think we're killing the environment, I hope you're happy with the modern DPF, DEF, EGR "boat anchor" engines that cause nothing but expensive downtime and headaches for drivers and mechanics these days. I'd like to see one of those new, "clean-running" diesel engines still running as good as this one in 40 years. 11. STOP acting like I hate Cummins because of my few sarcastic comments. I was raised around CAT engines all my life and they are my preference, but I have NOTHING against these old Cummins engines, especially the Big Cam 400. I just like to bust Ryan's chops with CAT vs. Cummins comments every once in a while. It's an inside joke we have going on. Trust me, if CAT and Cummins didn't build good engines, they wouldn't be so popular after all this time, and their old engines wouldn't still be running after 40 years like this one. 12. YES, his shifting was a little bit rough. He hadn't driven a 13-speed in a while, and it didn't help that someone cut a few of the air lines going to the splitter valve so it was trying to act like a 10-speed instead of a 13. Don't act like you've never scratched a gear once or twice in all your years of driving...nobody is perfect.

WORLDS LARGEST DUMP TRUCK in the world & Worlds largest excavator truck Extreme Dump Truck Video

17:16
A video showing the largest truck in the world and is also used for earth excavation. Design The BelAz 75710 has a conventional two-axle setup but the wheels are doubled, four to an axle, like a scaled-up International Payhauler 350. For this reason it needs eight 59/80R63 tires.[1] It also has four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraulic steering which is unusual. It has a turning radius of about 20 meters. The 75710 can carry a 450 metric ton (496 short ton) load.[2] With an empty weight of 360 tonnes, it is much more heavily built than the previous model, which weighed 240 tonnes when empty.[3] It is 20.6 meters long, 8.16 meters high, and 9.87 meters wide. The bed is relatively shallow, limiting the volume of material that can be carried. Instead of a single engine, the Siemens MMT 500 drive system is powered by two MTU 65-litre 16-cylinder four stroke diesel engines, each with 2,300 horsepower. These are coupled to two AC alternators and four AC traction motors (two in each axle).[4] Fuel consumption (according to company data) is 198 g/kWh per engine, with option to run on only one if carrying less than capacity loads. Maximum speed is 64 km/h, and economy maximum speed (when fully loaded and on a 10% gradient) is 40 km/h.[5] The complex propulsion system, in addition to the shallow bed, doubled tires, and very heavy empty weight, has led to concerns about operating efficiency[citation needed]. Type Haul truck Manufacturer BelAZ Production 2013–present Assembly Zhodzina, Belarus Body and chassis Class Ultra class Layout Front-engine, four-wheel drive Powertrain Engine 2 × MTU DD16V4000 V16 diesel Transmission Siemens MMT500 Dimensions Wheelbase 8 m (26 ft) Length 20.6 m (68 ft) Width 9.87 m (32 ft) Height 8.165 m (27 ft) Curb weight 360000 kg (793664 lb) Project history BelAZ produces the 75710 in a new facility constructed by Soligorsk Construction Trust No. 3. Overall, BelAz has invested $644 million in increasing its total production capacity.[6] The first truck was delivered to the Kuznetsk Basin in 2013. Previously the world's largest haul trucks were Bucyrus MT6300AC, Liebherr T 282B and Caterpillar 797F ultra-class trucks, with load capacities of 400 short tons.[7] A truck or lorry is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo. Trucks vary greatly in size, power, and configuration; smaller varieties may be mechanically similar to some automobiles. Commercial trucks can be very large and powerful, and may be configured to mount specialized equipment, such as in the case of fire trucks and concrete mixers and suction excavators. Modern trucks are largely powered by diesel engines, although small to medium size trucks with gasoline engines exist in the US, Canada, and Mexico. In the European Union, vehicles with a gross combination mass of up to 3.5 t (7,700 lb) are known as light commercial vehicles, and those over as large goods vehicles. Heavy trucks A cement mixer is an example of a Class 8 heavy truck Seddon Atkinson Stratos refuse compactor Heavy trucks are the largest on-road trucks, Class 8. These include vocational applications such as heavy dump trucks, concrete pump trucks, and refuse hauling, as well as ubiquitous long-haul 4x2 and 6×4 tractor units.[12] Road damage and wear increase very rapidly with the axle weight. The number of steering axles and the suspension type also influence the amount of the road wear. In many countries with good roads a six-axle truck may have a maximum weight of 44 t (97,000 lb) or more.

The hybrid architecture provides the following advantages: Multiple dig paths High initial breakout force using an articulating clamshell bucket Flat floor clean-up High selectivity Less fuel required for digging Joy SR hybrid drive (switch reluctance) technology captures regenerative power Fixed boom architecture reduces the mass to hoist Extended reach Increased safety through machine position relative to bank Increased range for truck spotting Capable of double side-loading Reduced propel time Mobility Twin diesel engines eliminate requirement for electrical cable Reductions in total cost of ownership The 2650CX is designed to deliver a 10 to 15% reduction in total cost of ownership (as compared to hydraulic excavators), including the following: Up to 25% reduction in fuel consumption Up to 3% availability advantage Up to 5-10% reduction in maintenance and repair costs Key features and benefits Safety Cab is equipped with features that contribute to a safer and more productive operator experience. Ergonomic controls and overall cab layout Intuitive displays Comfortable seat configuration Extended reach allows more truck spotting clearance and place the operator further from the bank High visibility interior and exterior LED lighting MGD-15 and MSHA standards incorporated throughout design Maintainability Organized house/deck layouts Open roof architecture for safe and efficient component change-outs Modular systems pre-assembled in a controlled factory environment Internal access into major structures Retractable service station for easy, safe and convenient fluid refills Flexibility Hydraulically articulated clamshell bucket for increased selectivity and breakout forces Twin diesel engines for increased mobility Eliminates trail cable management activities Truck ranges 135-360t (150-400st) Reliability SR Hybrid Drive technology designed and manufactured in-house JoySmart solutions enabled Proven fixed boom and twin handle systems for superior digging and reach capabilities Up to 50% fewer hydraulic components onboard than traditional hydraulic excavators Electric motors control main motions - hoist, swing and crowds Combining the availability of its industry-leading rope shovels with the mobility and flexibility of a hybrid excavator, Joy Global launched its new P&H 2650CX hybrid shovel at MINExpo INTERNATIONAL®2016 in Las Vegas. The concept for this first-of-its kind machine was introduced at MINExpo 2012 as an alternative to 550t-700t hydraulic excavators, which will reduce total cost of ownership by 10%-15%. This cost advantage is comprised of: Up to a 25% reduction in fuel consumption 5%-10% reduction in maintenance and repair costs 1%-3% increase in availability These savings are enabled in a large part by the JOY SR Hybrid Drive system, which was transitioned to the design of the 2650CX from P&H Generation 2 wheel loaders. Switched reluctance (SR) technology captures the energy naturally regenerated in swing deceleration and hoist lowering. The low maintenance SR motors act like generators to capture and distribute energy back into the systems powering the machine’s main motions, which reduces the use of hydraulics and significantly decreases diesel fuel consumption. Robust structures and the twin handle, rack and pinion crowd system proven on P&H shovels have been leveraged to increase reliability. The hydraulically articulated clamshell bucket allows the machine to dig in low benches and to increase breakout forces throughout the bank. Its payload capacity of 59t enables a four-pass match to 220t haul trucks and will accommodate trucks ranging from 135t to 360t. The pilot machine is currently working in a production environment at ASARCO Mission Mine, a copper application in Arizona.
Daimler Mercedes Truck Highway Pilot Connect - Test Drive

06:55
Daimler demonstrates autonomous truck platooning; Highway Pilot Connect delivers ~7% lower fuel consumption Daimler Trucks demonstrated the new Highway Pilot Connect system for autonomous truck platooning on the A52 autobahn near Düsseldorf. Three WiFi-connected, autonomously driving trucks operated on the autobahn with authorization for public traffic in a platoon formation. Such a combination can reduce fuel consumption by up to 7% and the road space requirement on motorways by almost half, while improving traffic safety at the same time, Daimler said. Based on the Daimler Trucks Highway Pilot system for autonomously driving heavy trucks (earlier post), the three trucks link up to form an aerodynamically optimized, fully automated platoon. Connected vehicles in a platoon require a distance of only 15 meters instead of 50 meters between them. This considerably smaller distance produces a significant reduction in aerodynamic drag—comparable to slipstream riding in cycling competitions. In this way a platoon of three trucks can achieve the ~7% fuel saving, resulting in fuel consumption figures of around 25 l/100 km (9.4 mpg) possible for a loaded semitrailer combination with a gross weight of 40 t. This corresponds to a consumption of only 0.66 l/100 km (356 mpg) per tonne, or CO2 emissions of 13.3 g per kilometer per tonne. In parallel with this, platooning allows much more efficient use of the road space: thanks to the shorter distance between vehicles, a platoon of three linked trucks has a length of only 80 meters. In contrast to this, three trucks which are not electronically docked require a total of 150 meters of road space. At the same time platooning makes road traffic much safer: while a human behind the wheel has a reaction time of 1.4 seconds, Highway Pilot Connect transmits braking signals to the vehicles behind in less than 0.1 seconds. This considerably reduced reaction time can make a major contribution towards reducing rear-end collisions such as occur e.g. when encountering traffic jams on motorways. The smart, self-optimizing truck has the highest priority for us. Using connected communication between the truck and other vehicles and the surroundings, we can improve traffic flow and lower fuel consumption and emissions. At the same time intelligent trucks help to lower the number of traffic accidents. This is an important step on our way towards accident-free driving. —Sven Ennerst, Head of Truck Product Engineering & Global Procurement The basis of Highway Pilot Connect is networking between vehicles and precise awareness of the surroundings. Highway Pilot Connect is a further development of the well-tried Highway Pilot system by Daimler Trucks. This system allows trucks to drive semi-autonomously, and has been under test since October 2015, in a standard Mercedes-Benz Actros operating on public roads in Germany. The Highway Pilot was first presented in July 2014, in the Mercedes-Benz Future Truck 2025 study, followed by the very first public road authorization for an autonomously driving truck in May 2015, for the Freightliner Inspiration Truck (earlier post). Compared to the Highway Pilot, Highway Pilot Connect has the additional technical function for electronic vehicle docking. Communication between vehicles is made possible by an onboard telematics platform. A specific V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) communication module using a special WiFi standard reserved exclusively for automotive enables direct data transfer between the trucks. Highway Pilot Connect uses this for a constant exchange of information with other trucks and the environment. Because of their technology, all the members of such a platoon continue to be autonomously driving trucks. They are able to maintain their direction independently of the vehicle ahead, and thanks to their combination of linear and lateral guidance, they can react to unexpected situations at any time. This also applies if other vehicles cut into or leave the platoon’s space. In this case the vehicle can smoothly disengage from the platoon and continue alone in autonomous mode. The driver does not need to intervene. Docking three or more vehicles together becomes particularly interesting in countries with a corresponding infrastructure. In the USA or Australia, for example, trucks cover long distances without bridges and exit roads on highways crossing the entire continent. Daimler Trucks is participating in the European Truck Platoon Challenge 2016 (EU TPC)—an initiative of the Netherlands during their ongoing EU presidency—with its three Mercedes-Benz Actros Highway Pilot Connect trucks. interior New 2016 2017 Test Drive "SUBSCRIBE NOW"
