Verbena is brewpub located at kamla Mills, Lower Parel.
It's a humongous 10,000 square feet rooftop garden themed pub with inclosed and alfresco seating.
It houses a in house brewery and also doubles up as a sheesha bar.
Verbena's bar also serves craft cocktails, made from scratch, using natural herbs, juices and extracts.
No premix or sugar is used in the making.
It's food menu is a mix of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine, It includes a variety of healthy eats and a bit of indian as well.
Importance is given to use natural organic seasonal produce and fresh flavours.
So here is what I had -
MEETHA PAAN -
Nicotine free, E hookah with a sweet flavour of paan.
Absolutely smooth, Fabulous!!!!
WOOD CHIP SMOKED HIBISCUS -
Bourbon whiskey based cocktail made with hibiscus flower nectar/lime/candied ginger and orange bitters.
ROOT BENEFITS -
Gin based cocktail made with beetroot juice/vanilla sugar/thai lime and basil.
CITRUS TAMARIND TREE -
Whiskey based cocktail made with orange juice/crushed black pepper/lime/saffron/tamarind jam and fresh parsley.
LONG ISLAND ICE TEA -
Ice tea made with vodka infused saffron and ginger, topped with lemonade and botanical extracts.
All the cocktails were amazing, weather it was the smokey hibiscus or the fresh beetroot juice infused beet benefits.
Long island ice tea had a mild subtle flavour of saffron.
Fresh real juices n herbs made all the difference!!!
The cocktails are a must try at Verbena!!!
LEMON CAESAR -
Crisp lettuce tossed with anchovies/tortilla chips/tandoori chicken and parmesan cheese in a lemon caesar dressing.
The twist done of using tortilla chips instead of croutons and using tandoori chicken worked really well !
Love the melody of flavours and crunch given by the tortilla chips.
FISH N CHIPS -
Seabass fish fillets coated with beer batter, deep fried to perfection.
Served with potato wedges and bbq/chive dip.
Simple n elegant, Seabass was fabulous, chive dip was wonderful.
CHIANG MAI PRAWNS -
Batter fried prawns tossed with chervil/onions/bell peppers in a red chilli paste asian sauce.
Spicy garlicky prawns, extremely delicious and comforting !!
HUEVOS RANCHEROS -
Quinoa served with red beans/lemon braised kale/cilantro/cheddar cheese/red onions/avocado dip/tortilla chips/chipotle aioli and poached eggs.
Super healthy yet extremely delicious!!
Each and every ingredients complimented each other and worked in harmony without overpowering one another.
NASI GORENG -
Indonesian fried rice topped with fried eggs/prawn crackers and chicken satay.
Served with pickled cucumber and carrots.
The satay had a beautiful flavour of lemon grass and peanuts.
Fried rice tasted delicious with the fried eggs.
GREEN TEA TIRAMISU -
Classic tiramisu with a twist of green tea.
Served with vanilla ice cream.
The egg whisked airy mascarpone cheese in the tiramisu was infused with japanese matcha green tea, loved the unusual combination.
Must try !!
AZTEC CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE-
Warm chocolate orange sponge cake .
Served with chocolate ice cream.
Sweet spicy cake with the cool ice cream was devine!!!
Overall, I had a great time.
Groovy music, intoxicating cocktails, delicious food and vibrant atmosphere.....
