The Art 🎨 of ATTACK🗡: Everything You Need to Learn From BOBBY FISCHER! - GM SUSAN POLGAR

♕ FULL COURSE: https://www.ichess.net/shop/polgar-chess-university-intermediate-attack-defense-instructive-chess-games/ ♕ 10 GM SECRETS: https://www.ichess.net/10gmsecrets/ ♕ MORE: https://www.ichess.net/2016/08/09/critical-moments-bobby-fischers-games/ http://www.facebook.com/iChessNET/ | http://twitter.com/onlinechessless In this video, GM Susan Polgar reveals what we can learn by examining the critical moments from Bobby Fischer’s games. Bobby had great intuition for these moments, which is one of the reasons he was able to achieve such win so many games – he rarely missed an opportunity. For many moves in a chess game, we have a few reasonable choices. We can pick any of them without winning or losing the game there and then. However, there are certain times where we get a golden chance to win or save the game; if we miss the move, our chance is gone. While recognizing these opportunities is a matter of practice, there are a number of signs that such a move might exist. One of these is tension in the position. If one side’s forces are all busy defending other pieces or squares, there might be a way to increase the pressure a little bit more and crack the defense. We see a great example in the first of Bobby Fischer’s games in this video (part of Susan Polgar’s The Art of Attack – Intermediate). Bobby, playing Black, has a pawn on the 7th rank, blocked by a White Rook. Spending a few moves to double Rooks on the 7th rank seems sensible but White has a passed pawn too. Doubling Rooks would allow White’s a-pawn to promote, meaning the best Black could achieve would be a draw by perpetual check. Instead, sensing the pressure, Bobby finds a devastating move, deciding the game immediately. The next position is also delicately balanced. Bobby has White and 2 of his pieces are under attack but he has a nice pin on his opponent’s Queen. Fischer’s move, however, ignores both the attacks and the pin, taking advantage of another feature in the position. At the end of the combination, it looks like Black is level on material but Fischer has seen further ahead and emerges a pawn up after his next move. An important point is that Bobby has not only won a pawn, he’s also achieved a superior position. This will have been taken into account before starting the tactic. Susan Polgar goes on to show many more examples from Bobby Fischer’s games, including a timely trade into a winning endgame and ways to capitalize on a space advantage. Enjoy the video and remember to check out the complete course here.

2. The Dark Ages

01:08:11
Introduction to Ancient Greek History (CLCV 205) In this lecture, Professor Donald Kagan explores the earliest history of Greek civilization. He demonstrates how small agricultural enclaves eventually turned into great cities of power and wealth in the Bronze Age, taking as his examples first Minoan Crete and then Mycenaean Greece. He also argues that these civilizations were closely related to the great monarchies of the ancient Near East. He points out that the Mycenaean age eventually came to an abrupt end probably through a process of warfare and migration. Reconstructing the Mycenaean age is possible through archaeological evidence and through epic poetry (Homer). Finally, he provides an account of the collapse of the Mycenaean world, and explains how in its aftermath, the Greeks were poised to start their civilization over on a new slate. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Let's go through a full body core exercise. It's a great exercise for just functional capacity and strength. Performance on this movement has been correlated with mortality in the elderly. So in groups they've looked at the elderly people who were more able to do this without using their hands, less risk of dying. So it's basically coming up from a seated position on the floor up to a standing position. There are a few ways to do it but one way is to put one foot in front of the other. So I'm going to use my right foot forward and to use both hands. So use both hands to come up. From there can also use one hand, one or the other. I'm using my right leg to push up. I'm going to use my left hand put some weight on it and then come up that way. And another way is to use no hands. I've gotta have the core strength to shift my weight onto this leg that I'm going to use to come up. If I don't have the core strength to shift weight or the hip mobility shift weight, that tells me what I need to work on. Also the other side both hands, one hand, and no hands. so give that a try try ten reps each side maybe as a start. Great strength workout, great functional movement workout. It'll test several qualities that are related to your quality of life, functional mobility, strength, functional capacity strength, core strength, all of those things. And if you can get to where you do that well, everything else you do tends to be easier. If you found any benefit from this video, leave a comment below. THE SPIRITUALITY OF WINE by Gisela Kreglinger

00:55
http://www.eerdmans.com/Products/6789/the-spirituality-of-wine.aspx In this book Gisela Kreglinger offers a fresh, holistic vision of the Christian life that sees God at work in all created things, including vineyards, the work of vintners, and the beauty of well-crafted wine shared with others around a table. Kreglinger begins by examining wine in the Bible, in the history of the church, and in the Lord's Supper, and these reflections culminate in a theology of joy and feasting that celebrates the human senses as gifts for tasting the goodness of God. In the second part of the book Kreglinger brings Christian spirituality and the world of wine together in new ways, exploring such matters as technology and wine-crafting, the health benefits of wine, alcohol abuse, consumerism, and soul care. Her discussion is enriched by interviews with thirty vintners from around the world as well as her own experience growing up on a family winery in Bavaria. --- Edited by Ahna Ziegler

Pepperdine University | SEER Model

06:17
Pepperdine's SEER model is a dynamic systems-based approach to integrating environmental and social engagement with sustainable organizational viability to create strategies for true long-term competitive advantage. The model moves past the CSR 1.0 approaches that relegate social and environmental concerns to "nice to have" status, or worse as an additional burden businesses must take on to be good corporate citizens. Using SEER, practitioners examine the interdependencies between environmental risk and opportunity, stakeholder engagement, winning product design and financial health as a prerequisite for authenticity, deeper employee and customer engagement, innovation and creativity all leading to greater financial returns. Inspired by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, the model was developed by Patagonia's then CEO Dr. Michael Crooke in his PhD dissertation (under noted Psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi) examining highly engaged, values-aligned organizations. As lead faculty for the SEER program at Pepperdine, Dr. Crooke is deploying the model as the foundation of advanced strategy for the next generation of business leaders.

Secret Lives Of The Super Rich - Luxury Lifestyle In The Middle East 2014

21:27
---------------------------------------------------------- Click here: http://binaryoptionstradingz.com/binary-option-online-stragie-new ---------------------------------------------------------- Secret Lives Of The Super Rich - Luxury Lifestyle In The Middle East 2014 As many people have observed, "Success leaves clues." If you want to achieve extraordinary success in the coming year, study the experts, do what they do, and modify their techniques to suit your particular situation. It's easy! Well, maybe not easy, but there are basic fundamentals. In the belief that we all need to be reminded of them regularly, here are some of the secrets that have helped me and my clients over the years: 1. Focus on values. I've known people who made some money, but I've never known anyone who got rich without examining their own values, priorities and beliefs. Start by writing down a list of things you value, things you believe, what you want, and what you plan to do with this incredible life you have. Start with your values. 2. Get a life. Before you can handle great wealth, you must make room for it. This is the old, "if you build it, they will come" model. Trying to squeeze success, wealth, fame or fortune into a small life won't work. Create a life first; the lifestyle of your dreams will follow. 3. Eliminate clutter. Trying to create success and achieve wealth while your life's a mess won't work. Success requires clear priorities and a passionate commitment. Simplify your life. Eliminate the excuses. Clean up everything that distracts you from reaching your most important goals. 4. Specify your results. Nobody can hit a target they can't see. Define your outcomes and set clear, achievable results in advance. Know what "success" looks like! Have measurable, specific outcomes and determine that you will achieve them! 5. Burn your ships. There's an ancient story about a Greek general who landed his troops on an enemy shore, then burned his ships. He wanted to make it very clear: Retreat and failure were not an option! Leave no room for failure. 6. Put in more than you take out. No one will pay you more than your services are worth! Get clear about that! You just can't fool people very long. Your services and your results must be far more valuable than the small fee you charge. Some people will rip you off; the rest will make you rich! 7. Live below your means. Rich people know this. Wealth is accumulated, re-invested, used wisely and given away. It is never spent! Let the millionaire athletes and folks who win lotteries buy the fancy cars and flashy jewelry. If you want to achieve great wealth, live simply, invest wisely, enjoy it all! 8. Get rich slowly. The key to great wealth is to minimize income, while maximizing your assets. Income is taxed. Income gets spent -- think about all the cars, boats, diamonds and houses people with huge incomes like to buy! Investing in assets that are hard to spend (buildings, stocks and bonds, collectible art, etc) creates wealth that is not taxed, and isn't spent on a casual impulse. 9. Pay lots of taxes. No, I'm not talking about paying more than you owe, but pay every cent the law requires. Rich folks don't haggle over nickels and dimes, they invest to make millions! If you can legally avoid taxes, do so! Use the law to your advantage when you can. But juggling the books to hide income or save a few bucks, wastes your time, wastes your energy, creates fear of getting caught, and makes you cheap. Don't do it! 10. Give it away. You can't take it with you when you die, and money is not attracted to the selfish, the miserly or the mean. If you would attract money to your life, be clear about what you want to do with it. Contribute to charities that will use it for good. Make the world a better, richer place and you'll create wealth that will last for generations to come. Your children will thank you! The Expansion of Brazilian Ayahuasca Religions: Law, Culture, and Locality - Kevin Feeney

26:29
http://psychedelicscience.org Help us caption and translate this video on Amara.org:‪ ‬http://amara.org/v/CbC8/ The Expansion of Brazilian Ayahuasca Religions: Law, Culture, and Locality Kevin Feeney, JD Abstract: This presentation will explore globalization, diversity, and issues of social justice by examining the global expansion of ayahuasca religions through the lens of transnationalism, and against the backdrop of international drug control. Politics have often equated cultural groups with particular national boundaries, and proceeding from this premise have made legal and cultural exceptions for groups that were seen as specifically situated geographically. The ayahuasca religions pose a particular challenge to this line of thinking, with the originally Brazilian-based religions of Santo Daime and the União do Vegetal having established a global presence with international adherents: followers who are not constrained by national boundaries and not identifiable as members of any particular ethnic categories. As these religions expand outside of their traditional regional and cultural contexts, they come to be viewed through the Western framework of the "war on drugs," and become classified as criminal enterprises. The expansion of the ayahuasca traditions will be used as a foundation for examining issues of international human rights law and protections for religious freedom within the current global milieu of cultural transnationalism. Kevin Feeney, JD, received his law degree from the University of Oregon in 2005, and is currently a student of Anthropology at Washington State University (USA), where he is studying the religious use of peyote in American Indian traditions. Occult and Hidden properties-18 The Soul Travelers

09:49
http://www.hollywoodinsiders.net Michael Wynn's "The Soul Travelers" reveals the truth about mythology, the spirit world, magic, Satanism, and the Illuminati. This documentary reviews repeating themes in mythology and tales of ancient man. Then the video discusses the details of the spirit world, chakras, demons, and angels. It continues by delving into the details of magic, the occult, and Satanic Illuminati symbolism. The Soul Travelers is surely among the most revealing documentaries on the subject of magic and the occult, as it takes a revisionist look at the symbols of secret societies like the Freemasons. It concludes by examining the characters like Satan, Jesus, Babylon, and more from the perspective of the occult. *Feel free to repost The Soul Travelers wherever you wish - documentary illuminati satanic secret society mythology video conspiracy nwo satanism black magic gods freemasonry world government new freemasonic symbolism symbols messages subliminal control order freemason members exposed disney 911 trade center globalism obama rituals alex jones barack york aliens ufo antichrist devil economic dollar collapse vampire magick ritual 2012 mayan calander david icke reptilian shapeshifter 666 mark beast bank cia movies music television nsa federal reserve patriot act fema camp bilderberg aleister crowley vatican israel catholic church jesuit zionism zionist nuclear bush wtc wtc7 jeff rense tsarion witchcraft tyranny martial lawamerica iraq iran war ghost paranormal false flag loose change terrorstorm terrorist attack internet2 tampa florida alan watt washington jordan mawell cooper haarp chicago mythological religion bible stories folklore story flood ancient spirit demon vampires demons egypt giza pyramids great aztec fallen angel satan jinn islam muslim nephilim giants genesis alien grey holy guardian abyss evil astral chakra life force energy etheric body history map michael wynn telepathy mind reading communication telepathic maya calender transformation initiation work revealed occult man sabbat baphomet gog magog babylon whore greek egyptian hindu indian talisman dajjal revelation end

The Historical Jesus: Scholars Debate

14:49
http://www.robertmprice.mindvendor.com/rev_habermas.htm Gary Habermas, Robert Price Gary Habermas is the closest thing to a New Testament critic one will ever find teaching in the hallowed, but far from hollow, halls of Jerry Falwell's Liberty University. Exceedingly well read, Professor Habermas is the epitome of what James Barr called the "maximal conservative" approach to New Testament scholarship. The maximal conservative proposes to examine an issue in a neutral scholarly way but always comes out defending the traditional view, often explicitly appealing to the (inappropriate) rationale: "innocent until proven guilty," as if the orthodox view of any matter must claim the benefit of the doubt. That is to say, he poses as an objective researcher into open questions regarding the early Christian literature and history, but his conclusions are determined in advance by a dogmatic agenda. As a member of the Liberty University faculty, Dr. Habermas is honor-bound to believe in the absolute inerrancy of the Bible, the dogma that the Bible is free from all historical errors, and even that its authors never expressed differences of opinion on religious matters. The inerrantist believes either that the text of the Bible was verbally dictated by the Almighty (whether or not the human penman knew it at the time) or that at least the result was the same as if God had dictated it, even if "all" he did was to oversee the writing process providentially. Someone with a view like this adopts the posture of the biblical critic not because he or she believes it will shed new light on ancient texts but rather in order to defend traditional, orthodox readings of the text from "heretical" new research that threatens by its very nature to render such readings obsolete, depriving orthodox dogma of its seeming proof texts. The unstated goal is to beat the genuine critic at his own game so as to defend the party line. That is the business Gary Habermas is in. That is the approach of the many books he has written. They are all exercises in apologetics, the scholastic defense of the faith. The position is an ironic one, since such attempts to clamp the lid on the open Bible are just the sort of bold, open-ended investigation that led to the Protestant Reformation and the Biblical Theology Movement.Gary Habermas, Robert Price. Scholars like John Dominic Crossan, a professor emeritus of religious studies at DePaul University and former co-chair of the Jesus Seminar, can read volumes into a simple signpost in the Biblical town of Ephesus. "There's a gate to the market that Paul would have walked under," Crossan relates. "On top, it says Caesar is the son of God. When Paul applies that name to Jesus, it's not just a nice title. It's the title of Caesar. That is known as high treason." Perhaps the most revealing Biblical site excavated in recent years has been Sepphoris, five miles from Nazareth, which has been under excavation since 1985. Although not mentioned in the Bible by name, Strange believes it was the "city on a hill" Jesus had in mind in Matthew 5:14. It was razed by the Romans right around the time of Jesus' birth, and reconstructed afterward, and it's not unreasonable to think Jesus himself might have worked there. But more important than the chance of finding Jesus' tool belt is what it tells us about his milieu. "Jesus has a lot to say about the rich, and most of it is not good," says Strange. "This is where he would have encountered the rich, not in Nazareth." Archeologists have excavated three villas with interior courtyards, richly frescoed walls and luxury goods similar to those found anywhere in the Roman Empire--but unmistakably the homes of Jews, with ritual baths and inhabitants who obeyed Jewish dietary laws. (At least until the fourth century, when Christianity became the official religion and pig bones make a sudden appearance in the garbage.) "It gives us an entirely new way of thinking about the social context of Jesus' life," says L. Michael White, a religious-studies professor at the University of Texas at Austin. "He is not just a poor peasant from a remote village; he's living close to a large, multilingual urban center, heavily influenced by Roman culture."

Eating yogurt with probiotic may help with hypertension

01:37
UNDATED (CBS) -- Laima Mihailovich's favorite snack could help keep her blood pressure in check. "I eat yogurt a lot. I'll have it everyday. I love it," she says. That's because yogurt contains probiotics, a natural bacteria that's believed to help with digestion. Probiotic supplements are also widely available. Now, new research examining nine previous studies of more than 500 patients suggests eating probiotics may lower blood pressure. Researchers in Australia found eating probiotics lowered patients' blood pressure three points on the top number, and two points on the bottom. Researchers say probiotics with multiple bacteria are better than those with single bacteria. Patients had to consume probiotics regularly, for at least eight weeks to see a modest drop in blood pressure. But NYU cardiologist Harmony Reynolds says it's not clear that a supplement is as beneficial as getting probiotics from your food. "Sometimes if people change their diet, exercise more and probiotic is part of that healthy eating plan, they can avoid medicine, and I love to see that," says Reynolds. "Instead of going and having ice cream, I will have nice cold yogurt and it's very satisfying," says Mihailovich. It's an enjoyable step toward keeping her heart healthy. Researchers say more studies are needed before doctors can recommend probiotics for high blood pressure and prevention.

Derek Jacobi - I, CLAUDIUS audio book

05:26
I, CLAUDIUS' by ROBERT GRAVES read by Derek Jacobi "Makes a ripping yarn" The Guardian Historical novel with a human focus. Written in the style of a secret autobiography, it concerns the thoughts and feelings of a Historical figure who was largely isolated for much of his life until middle age. Fusing Historical fact with speculative fiction, Robert Graves uses a tried and tested formula to create an original and moving work, which brings the human aspect to a listener's understanding of the life of The Roman Emperor Claudius. A political as well as historical work, the story mainly discusses the relationships between the ideas of liberty and stability within society, and which of them is best. Claudius is the perfect vehicle to use for examining such an argument, as in his younger life he was committed to all the ideals of liberty, whereas in later life he came to see the advantages, societal and personal, of stability. Like Grave's other works, such as Goodbye to all that (also published by CSA Word), I, Claudius is a success because it is intelligent, historical and insightful, whilst retaining the charm of a great plot and a narrative style that are joys to get involved in. Sharing economy: What challenges and opportunities for Europe?

03:22
With collaborative platforms and providers such as Uber and Airbnb booming across Europe, sharing economy is quickly establishing itself as a new, successful business model. It has a great potential for increased competition, consumer choice and job opportunities. However, the blurring of lines between producers and consumers is raising concerns about the liability, taxation and administrative regimes they should be subjected to. The EU therefore faces an increasing number of challenges to regulate these new businesses while also providing them the opportunity to grow and contribute to European economic development. The European Commission’s new guidelines and the European Parliament’s position on the new Digital Single Market are a first step in this direction

17. The Peloponnesian War, Part I

01:14:18
Introduction to Ancient Greek History (CLCV 205) In this lecture, Professor Kagan describes the events that lead up the Peloponnesian War. He argues that the rise of Athenian power and the concomitant challenge to Spartan dominance pointed to potential conflict. However, Professor Kagan also points out that there were many people who did not want war and that therefore war was not inevitable. The Thirty Years Peace was negotiated, and Professor Kagan finally argues that its clause for arbitration was the key clause that could have prevented war. 00:00 - Chapter 1. Plato on Justice, Wisdom vs. Ignorance

04:25
Plato and Thrasymachus agree that justice is virtue and wisdom, and injustice vice and ignorance. A reading of a dialogue from Plato's Republic. Download Plato's Republic for free here: http://classics.mit.edu/Plato/republic.html from Wikipedia: "The Republic is a Socratic dialogue, written by Plato around 380 BC, concerning the definition of justice , the order and character of the just city-state and the just man—for this reason, ancient readers used the name On Justice as an alternative title (not to be confused with the spurious dialogue also titled On Justice). The dramatic date of the dialogue has been much debated and though it might have taken place some time during the Peloponnesian War, "there would be jarring anachronisms if any of the candidate specific dates between 432 and 404 were assigned". Plato's best-known work, it has proven to be one of the world's most influential works of philosophy and political theory, both intellectually and historically. In it, Socrates along with various Athenians and foreigners discuss the meaning of justice and examine whether or not the just man is happier than the unjust man by considering a series of different cities coming into existence "in speech", culminating in a city called Kallipolis, which is ruled by philosopher-kings; and by examining the nature of existing regimes. The participants also discuss the theory of forms, the immortality of the soul, and the roles of the philosopher and of poetry in society."

Introduction to Ancient Greek History (CLCV 205) In this lecture, Professor Donald Kagan explores the development and character of Sparta. He points out that in Sparta, the ethos of the polis was present to an extraordinary degree. Then he describes how this came about. In short, Professor Kagan argues that the Spartans were able to create a distinct military culture on account of their subjugation of the inhabitants of Messenia, who were forced to carry on the work of farming while the Spartans trained for war. Finally, Professor Kagan examines the education and training of the Spartan citizen as well as the constitution of Sparta. 00:00 - Chapter 1.
