People Power. Some residents of Sitio Poocan on Semirara Island in Antique try to stop a demolition team sent by the municipal government of Caluya in this video taken on March 3, 2014. The residents had set up a peaceful barricade few days earlier to block a bulldozer by the Semirara Mining Corp. (SMC), sent with no permit or court order by Caluya Mayor Genevieve Lim-Reyes to their Sitio (small village).
