David Wilcock | Corey Goode: The Antarctic Atlantis [MUST SEE LIVE DISCLOSURE!]

02:30:07
Are we about to hear that ancient ruins have been found in Antarctica? Is there an Alliance working to defeat the greatest threat humanity has ever faced on earth? Could the Antarctic Atlantis be part of a full or partial disclosure? Join David Wilcock on a thrill ride of discovery, beginning with Part One where he presents data on the Secret Space Program and shares the stage with legendary insider Corey Goode. This is the best public summary David and Corey have done of this amazing story that has captivated the UFO community. Part Two begins at the 53-minute mark, with David connecting the dots between intel from multiple insiders to arrive at a stunning conclusion -- that we are on the verge of major new releases of information that will transform everything we thought we knew about life on earth. A civilization of "Pre-Adamite" giants with elongated skulls appears to have crash-landed on a continent we now call Antarctica some 55,000 years ago. Various groups we collectively call the Alliance are working to defeat the Cabal / Illuminati / New World Order, thus making the headlines crazier by the day. If the Alliance succeeds, their plan is now to begin the disclosure process by telling us there was a civilization in Antarctica. We are already seeing multiple, compelling hints of this in corporate media. Find out what the insiders are telling us and help spread the word! This is a two-and-a-half-hour excerpt from David's Friday and Saturday presentations at the Conscious Life Expo 2017. In their original form they run six hours. David also spoke for three hours on Monday, presenting an incredible new model of the Cosmos based on sacred geometry -- and proving that the Sun is going to release a DNA-transforming burst of energy in our near future. Symposium on Blockchain for Robotic Systems

07:48:24
Robotic systems are revolutionizing applications from transportation to health care. However, many of the characteristics that make robots ideal for future applications—such as autonomy, self-learning, and knowledge sharing—also raise concerns about the evolution of the technology. Blockchain, an emerging technology that originated in the digital currency field, shows great potential to make robotic operations more secure, autonomous, flexible, and even profitable, thereby bridging the gap between purely scientific domains and real-world applications. This symposium seeks to move beyond the classical view of robotic systems to advance our understanding about the possibilities and limitations of combining state-of-the art robotic systems with blockchain technology. How to find meaning when reality hits you | Manisha Koirala | TEDxJaipur

13:05
In this candid talk, Manisha shares how she discovered the meaning of life when things went down and how she made the worst situation of her life into a narrative of triumph! Manisha Koirala is well known for her acting prowess and her ethereal looks which easily pull at audience heartstrings. However, what many may not know about this Nepalese beauty is her quiet confidence and graceful strength which have enabled her rise to success in Bollywood and work in critically acclaimed movies with directors such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Subhash Ghai and Mani Ratnam. Manisha also had her fair share of ups and downs, but it was the diagnosis of cancer in 2012 which caused her to pause and introspect her life deeply. Perhaps it was this very introspection which gave Manisha new goals and motivated her to rise and shine through trying times. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Thorium.

06:27:00
http://ThoriumRemix.com/ Thorium is an abundant material which can be transformed into massive quantities of energy. To do so efficiently requires a very different nuclear reactor than the kind we use today- Not one that uses solid fuel rods, but a reactor in which the fuel is kept in a liquid state. Not one that uses pressurized water as a coolant, but a reactor that uses chemically stable molten salts. Such a reactor is called a "Molten Salt Reactor". Many different configurations are possible. Some of these configurations can harness Thorium very efficiently. This video explores the attributes of Molten Salt Reactors. Why are they compelling? And why do many people (including myself) see them as the only economical way of fully harnessing ALL our nuclear fuels... including Thorium. This video has been under development since 2012. I hope it conveys to you why I personally find Molten Salt Reactors so compelling, as do the many volunteers and supporters who helped create it. Much of the footage was shot by volunteers. Raising the Digital Trajectory of Healthcare

01:32:36
Table of Contents Q&A 1:14:29 Should healthcare be more digitized? Absolutely. But if we go about it the wrong way... or the naïve way... we will take two steps forward and three steps back. Join Health Catalyst's President of Technology, Dale Sanders, for a 90-minute webinar in which he will describe the right way to go about the technical digitization of healthcare so that it increases the sense of humanity during the journey. The topics Dale covers include: • The human, empathetic components of healthcare’s digitization strategy • The AI-enabled healthcare encounter in the near future • Why the current digital approach to patient engagement will never be effective • The dramatic near-term potential of bio-integrated sensors • Role of the “Digitician” and patient data profiles • The technology and architecture of a modern digital platform • The role of AI vs. the role of traditional data analysis in healthcare • Reasons that home grown digital platforms will not scale, economically Most of the data that’s generated in healthcare is about administrative overhead of healthcare, not about the current state of patients’ well-being. On average, healthcare collects data about patients three times per year from which providers are expected to optimize diagnoses, treatments, predict health risks and cultivate long-term care plans. Where’s the data about patients’ health from the other 362 days per year? McKinsey ranks industries based on their Digital Quotient (DQ), which is derived from a cross product of three areas: Data Assets x Data Skills x Data Utilization. Healthcare ranks lower than all industries except mining. It’s time for healthcare to raise its Digital Quotient, however, it’s a delicate balance. The current “data-driven” strategy in healthcare is a train wreck, sucking the life out of clinicians’ sense of mastery, autonomy, and purpose. Healthcare’s digital strategy has largely ignored the digitization of patients’ state of health, but that’s changing, and the change will be revolutionary. Driven by bio-integrated sensors and affordable genomics, in the next five years, many patients will possess more data and AI-driven insights about their diagnosis and treatment options than healthcare systems, turning the existing dialogue with care providers on its head. It’s going to happen. Let’s make it happen the right way.

Maritime Asia: Securitization of the China Seas

01:57:23
The Institute of East Asian Studies, UC Berkeley, in collaboration with the Department of Politics & International Studies, University of Cambridge, is convening a workshop on “Maritime Asia” with a focus on the “securitization” of the China Seas in the 19th and 20th Centuries. This public forum presents the highlights from the workshop. Anchored in the disciplines of historical and international studies, we view “securitization” as a process of politicization that is geographically defined, historically contingent, resource constrained and trans-temporal in its effects. We also view securitization as the formation of a discourse that is contingent upon complex speech acts in multiple sites. What can we learn from China's modern history about the nation's long-term aspirations as a maritime power? How does Beijing pursue naval preeminence in a post-Cold War political economy of globalizing connections and multilateral agreements? As China aspires to become a major Asian maritime power in the 21st century, we propose to examine the how, why, and the so what, internally and internationally, about its significance.

16th Annual Kendall Lecture with Thomas R. Karl | Tuesday, April 18 - 5:00pm Speaker: Thomas R. Karl, Independent Scholar and Past Director of the National Climatic Data Center - NOAA (1998-2015) Climate data comes in a rich variety of quality with varying time and space resolutions. The mystery behind climate observations stem from the fact they require careful understanding of their limitations and usefulness. The wonder of all this data is being able to deduce changes and variations in the Earth’s climate from a surprisingly robust set of independent methods to reconstruct past and present climate from an exponentially growing set of data (approaching exabyte size --- 1018 or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 bytes). This includes thousands of climate variables and diverse methods of processing these data. The mystery and wonder often come together as a not so glamorous nitty-gritty reality of trying to make sense of all the observations. Considerable scientific discourse is often necessary to develop and interpret data sets and models that help us understand the state and changing state of the climate system. A few examples of how this has evolved will be presented. This will include the data and methods used to deduce changes and variations in the Earth’s temperature and precipitation during the Anthropocene. About the Speaker Thomas Karl received his B.S. from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and his M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters from North Carolina State University. After a brief TV/Radio weather forecasting position, Tom joined the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 1975. He held a variety of assignments in NOAA including Senior Scientist (1992-1998), Director of the National Climatic Data Center (1998-2015) and Director of the National Centers for Environmental Information (2015-2016). In 2010, he was asked by the President’s Science Advisor to Chair the $2.5b US Global Change Research Program’s Subcommittee on Global Change Research. There he was responsible for ensuring the delivery to Congress of an interagency Global Change Research Plan, Assessments, and annual Progress Reports for all agencies engaged in global change research. He continued in that position until 2016 when he retired from federal service after a 41-year career. He is now an Independent Scholar. About the Series The 16th annual Henry W. Kendall Memorial Lecture was sponsored by the MIT Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences and the MIT Center for Global Change Science. The lecture series honors the memory of Professor Henry Kendall (1926-1999), a 1990 Nobel Laureate, longtime member of MIT’s physics faculty, and dedicated environmentalist. A founding member and chair of the Union of Concerned Scientists, he played a leading role in organizing scientific community statements on global problems, including the World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity in 1992 and the Call for Action at the Kyoto Climate Summit in 1997. State of the Field 2016: Archaeology of Egypt – Fourth Session

02:04:48
September 24th, 2016 4:00 pm Fourth session – “Breaking political boundaries”: Introduction – Laurel Darcy Hackley (Brown University) 4:10 pm Monica Hanna (Arab Academy for Science and Technology) – Breaking Political Boundaries in Egyptian Archaeology Since the events in 2011, a new form of advocacy related to Egyptian heritage has started. Due to the security vacuum and the political events, some of the sites, museums and storehouses were attacked and thousands of objects were stolen, as well as many archaeological sites illegally dug. Regular citizens in several parts of Egypt found themselves responsible for the security of many of the sites. Indeed, what made the difference to the fate of each site was how the local community reacted. For example, when the Armant prison, north of Luxor’s west bank, was opened and convicts were let loose in January 2011, the locals of al-Bu’airat and al-Qurna went out with their sticks and few rifles to protect the archaeological sites in the area. On the contrary, in the Memphite necropolis close to Abu Sir, Saqqara, Dahshur, and Lisht, villagers called in microphones for villagers to go out and loot. The same also happened to the urban heritage in many cities; several early twentieth-century buildings were brought down by contractors to build new constructions. The historic centre of medieval Cairo was also subjected to problems such as looting and thefts, destruction of buildings and illegal digging under the most important monuments. With the government not able to stop the widespread cultural desecration using their traditional methods, many groups have formed on their own to raise awareness of the problems and to put enough pressure on the political agenda of the Egyptian government in order to take action. Despite most of the efforts have had limited success compared to expectations, yet these groups have managed to create a very good public awareness of the different problems. They were even consulted when the new Egyptian constitution was being written in 2013 and were part in drafting article 50, aiming at the protection of Egyptian cultural heritage. The pressure these groups have created now gives them enough clout to change the future of Egyptian cultural heritage through collaborative efforts with the Egyptian government and international institutions. 4:30 pm Gerry Scott (The American Research Center in Egypt) – Addressing Economic and Social Needs through Cultural Heritage Egypt’s recent revolution, with the resulting breakdown in stability, both real and perceived, brought various sorts of stress to different aspects of Egypt’s cultural heritage. Widespread looting of sites and museum break-ins and theft being widely reported. Another significant area of stress was the dramatic downward plummet of Egypt’s tourism sector, both an important component of the Egyptian economy and the major source of revenue for the Ministry of Antiquities. Luxor, in Upper Egypt, a town that relies almost solely on the tourist industry for its survival, was especially hard hit. This paper will examine an innovative project carried out by the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) and supported with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to offer employment, while at the same time continuing ARCE’s tradition of offering training for Ministry of Antiquities staff and conducting monument conservation. It will also describe some other related projects. 4:50 pm Response: Robert Preucel (Brown University) 5:10 pm Discussion 5:30 pm Closing: James P. Allen (Brown University)

State of the Field 2016: Archaeology of Egypt – Second Session

01:26:55
September 24th, 2016 11:00 am Second session – “Breaking geographic boundaries”: Introduction – Susan Allen (Boston Museum of Fine Arts) 11:10 am Gregory Marouard (Oriental Institute, University of Chicago) – Excavating and Surveying the Coast and Marshes of Egypt in the Year 2010: Two New Examples of Harbors at Wadi al-Jarf (Red Sea) and Kom ed-Dahab (Mezaleh Lake) Over the past 15 years, our understanding about the Egyptian seaports has seen a very fast evolution and a profound reconsideration. Before the early years of 2000 only the area of Alexandrian or the harbor site at Berenike were well known for their port installations on coastal locations. Since then, multiple projects mostly on the Egyptian Red Sea shore, for example at Marsa Gawasis and Ayn Sokhna, have revealed a regular occupation of this natural eastern border since the very beginning of the Old Kingdom (ca. 2500 BCE). More recently, thanks to extensive satellite remote sensing, two new untouched harbors sites have been discovered, at Wadi al-Jarf – the port of king Khufu on the Red Sea Coast and so far the oldest harbor in the world – and at Kom ed-Dahab – a lost Roman emporion located on an isolated island in the marches of the Menzaleh Lake (Eastern Delta). Still unknown until four years ago, those completely new sites are located in underrepresented parts of the traditional Egyptian heartland but excavations and surveys there led to the discovery of crucial documents and major monuments for their respective Periods. However, the launch of these new projects in a post-revolutionary Egypt and in quite distant areas from the major landmarks of the Nile Valley illustrates also the difficulties and complicated processes that unfortunately follow the breaking of the geographic boundaries in the field of Egyptian archeology. 11:30 am Neal Spencer (The British Museum) – Lived Experience in a Colonial Environment: Reconsidering the Impact of the Pharaonic State on the History and Function of Amara West in Upper Nubia The British Museum’s Amara West Project, through a holistic programme of research that considers settlement areas and cemeteries as parts of an integrated sphere of lived experience, is providing new insights into lived experience within Egypt’s Nubian colony during the Ramesside Period. Excavations, complemented by archaeometrical, bioarchaeological, ethnoarchaeological and environmental studies, suggest the role of the pharaonic state in determining the history and function of such colonial towns may have been overemphasised, with local agency (individual/household/community) perhaps as important from early in the history of the town. Changes to the Nile regime were another important driver for change, prompting modifications to lifeways and ultimately the abandonment of the town in the early first millennium BC. 11:50 am Response: J. Andrew Dufton (Brown University) 12:10 pm Discussion

Tony Robbins: Does Success Breed Success? ( Tony Robbins Law of Atraction )

01:26:29
We often see people experience strings of success, one after the other, while we see other, seemingly similar individuals fail to experience even a single success," says sociologist Arnout van de Rijt of SUNY Stony Brook, NY. That observation tempts us to suspect that success breeds success, i. e. that a "lucky break" can set in motion what van de Rijt calls a success cascade. But that hypothesis is hard to test in a scientific way because other factors—such as special talents and networks of supportive contacts--are important to success, too. Despite the difficulty, van de Rijt and his research team set out to determine whether success breeds success, using a novel experimental design and the power of the Internet. In each of four online forums, the researchers randomly selected 200-500 individuals or projects and either contributed funding for a proposed project, provided an endorsement of an individual’s professional work, gave an award for dedication to a community group, or provided signatures in a social or political campaign. The random selection was important. No judgment of merit or value was made in granting the success or recognition.

RubyConf 2018 - The Atonement of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Caleb Thompson The Nazi party members at Nuremberg, J. Robert Oppenheimer at Los Alamos, and developers at exciting tech companies have something in common. The responsibility for what mark we leave on the world through our efforts or inventions rests on our own shoulders. We cannot push this burden to those who tell us what to do, and so we must be conscious about what it is that we're building and how it will be used. The repercussions of our actions come back to us if not legally, then weighing on our conscience.
