Slim Dusty - Goldrush Country
Here's a song that first saw the light of day in 1975, on the flip side of Slim's truckin' single "I Don't Sleep At Night"...Columbia DO10767. There are already a couple copies of the A. side on YouTube, so I didn't bother uploading another one...but, I thought the flip side could do with the exposure...so, here it is. Slim wrote this one himself...it's a song about the gold mining country in Western Australia. At the time of uploading, this song is still available on the compilation CD, "I Haven't Changed A Bit". *** If you like my channel, why not SUBSCRIBE? Monster Meeting - The Ells - Something Good (1851 Monster Meeting, Forest Creek).wmv
Central Victorian band The Ells perform "Something Good", about the Forest Creek Monster Meeting held on 15th Dec 1851 to protest the doubling of the Mining Licence fee. The song is written from the point of view of a member of the british Chartist movement who emigrates to Australia with his family and ends up on the Victorian goldfields. It is likely that Chartists were prominent in disseminating concepts of workers' rights and social justice on the goldfields and elsewhere. Their philosophy evolved over time and eventually informed the early trade union movement. The Chewton (Forest Creek) Monster Meeting was an important event in the development of australian democracy. It is seen as a precursor to the 1854 Eureka Stockade and was arguably the first rally for workers' rights. .

Mining jobs outlook is golden for BC
A new agreement with First Nations in the north that provides certainty around resource development along with a reduced backlog of mining permits will help create jobs in the mining sector, Premier Christy Clark announced in her speech to Round Up 2012. "These are clear examples of government helping to lay the groundwork for job creation," said Premier Clark. Gold Panning in Ireland
Digging for gold on Bedrock in a Wexford river Late 2012 Bedrock is the best place to find gold as it cannot fall any further. A Banjo pan would be the best way to run this material after separating it from the rock. Simply wash the rocks in a bucket then take classifier on top of second bucket. Then feeed the material through the banjo and pour water in from the top. Its non mechanical so complies with Minerals Ireland Rule on gold panning.

Drywashing for gold at the old Coolgardie Mining Camp - Just North of Barstow, California 13
Using a recirculating system with a high banker - There's a lot of history here and some nice gold flakes can still be found here (but most of this area is claim up - if you join a gold prospecting club that owns claims here, like the GPAA, then you can mine here) Gold was first discovered in easily obtainable deposits in the Mojave Desert around 1900, and a small settlement of several hundred miners soon sprang up. Coolgardie was named after the rich western Australian mining town that became large and famous both for its wealth and rough nature. Mexican miners coming from the Gold Rush up north worked this area for a while and then it was worked again during the Great Depression. California's Coolgardie never reached the same status, although it was one of the few placer mining districts in the desert. When the gold ran out after just a few short years, there was nothing in this desolate place to entice its residents to stay. Gradually the wooden structures crumbled, and today little remains except some rusted cans and piles of lumber where buildings used to stand. Coolgardie is 19 miles north of Barstow, and it is necessary to drive along a narrow dirt road to reach it. Visitors should exercise extreme caution because many mining shafts have not been filled in and a fall would leave a victim stranded in the middle of the desert. Australia~Gympie Pyramid~ Part2.5 Legend of the so called "Gympie pyramid"
Click this link for pt 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArOipNMR3Es Wants Answers to my slopy claims and vid..Please watch Part 3 of this series. For A interview with the archaeologist i have based 90% of my footnotes from.Making 5 key points proving that the G.P is pre European and of no aboriginal origins.Every question you can think of he gives a professional response even with mainstream archaeologist Agreeing. Think this is a Hoax.watch part 3 .you be the Judge.Thank you At first the theory that "pyramid"site was originally some kind of old vinyard built in the early 1900's,by Italian immigrants seem's plausible,But after doing a bit more research which lead's to my first point of argument against this theory. Up until the late 1940's after WW2 there were no Italian migrant's on record (electoral rolls, land deeds and cemetery records) living in Gympie, in fact the whole shire .Which leads me to my second point The structure is actually intersected by three separate land deeds or titles,Homestead Mining Leases, the first of which was granted on the 30/6/1892 as mining homestead lease to an R.H.James who held the lease for 11 years, the lease was then transferred to Edwards in 1903. This lease was for five acres of land and takes in roughly 50% of the total terraced area. In 1929 and 1931 the leases which adjoined to either side of the first lease were taken up by Drummond and Parke as joint tenants.Drummond and Parke held the three leases until 1961 at which point they were acquired by Ward who held them until 1973.then they were split into the 4 subdivided property's which have had several different tenants till present. They all agree on one thing, that the site was there way back in the 1860's when European settlers Pioneered through Qld... The first recorded pioneer evidences of an old "ruins complex" appeared between 1860-1880. Such "evidences" were verified later when there was a desperate need for sandstone blocks for commercial constructions following the Gympie Gold Rush days of 1867. To the advantage of the settlers and new business operators (and opportunists), local knowledge soon spread that nearby was a place in the jungle that had vast quantities of pre-shaped sandstone blocks ready for "recycling". In those days, historical factors had never been considered. Subsequently, the sources of the vast "piles" of rock were pilfered in such large quantities by the local tradesmen entrepreneurs for houses, fireplaces and commercial establishments that by 1885,A lot of the original pre-shaped sandblocks had been taken From the site and used in construction(This point show's a massive hole in the Italian vineyard theory) The ancient site was then reclaimed by thick woodland forest and with the passing of time -- forgotten.Claims (followed by adverse counter-claims) of the discovery of an ancient "pyramid ruin" or "terraced hill mound" in prickly pear forests on the outskirts of Gympie City in the 1960's then bounced back and forth for nearly forty years like a tennis match on whether such a relic did or did not exist during aeons past. These speculations were further enhanced by the many media headlines over successive years, highly publicised theoretical findings of opportunists, amateur geologists and archaeologists, sceptics, research societies Today, the jury is still deciding its verdict. Most agree that "something" did exist -- What it was is the ongoing question. Further, most agree that the "ruins" were definitely not of any Aboriginal (they did not build in or use stone constructions) or early European settlement origin. These are all major point's leaning towards the theory of it predating Euro settlers. In This clip(pt2) i focus more around the summit of the structure, which has some pretty large strange looking stone's which resemble 2 pillars each pillar weighing close to 2 ton's!!. i'm told they once stood vertical but now lie next to each other, some worked and very weather stones as well on the east side and north-side. please watch Part 1 too get more of a understanding this bizarre legend. ~Filmed and edited by Nicko Eshuys In part 1 I show footage of the united church's massive70meter sandstone rock wall, Built straight from the jungle of perfectly cut stone blocks, way back in the late 1870's by the first European settlers, also footage of the freemason lodge, the court house and the old post office, built with the same stone. Please watch, like and subscribe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCdpePE5btc

Porgera and the Environment
The Porgera Joint Venture (PJV) mine, located in the mountainous central highlands of Papua New Guinea, operates in a unique geographic location. The mine follows a government-approved environmental management and monitoring program based on a comprehensive permit issued by the PNG government. Extensive river monitoring involves stringent processes developed in conjunction with CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. Records show the mine has never exceeded water quality compliance levels set out under its environmental permit. The Porgera Environmental Advisory Komiti is made up of independent experts from Papua New Guinea and Australia. The organization monitors environmental performance at PJV. Since acquiring its interest in the mine, Barrick Gold Corporation has launched a number of initiatives to review and enhance the mine's environmental systems.

Mad Dog Morgan (Fully Restored Director's Cut) Movie Trailer
Set in gold rush-era Victoria, and based on a true story, this violent, rollicking portrayal of infamous Irish outlaw Dan Morgan (Dennis Hopper) is a classic of Australia's 70s cinema renaissance. A prospector who turns to crime and opium after failing at gold mining, Dan Morgan spends six brutal years in prison before terrorising country Victoria with a young Aboriginal, David Gulpilil (Walkabout). Having escaped into NSW, the bushranger and his accomplice easily dodge the police and mercilessly intimidate the wealthy land owners; but wracked by madness and a lust to avenge an earlier attack from an irate squatter, the notorious Mad Dog makes a perilous journey back into Victoria. Dennis Hopper called the role one of his great life experiences - director Philippe Mora (Communion) creates one of the great period action dramas.

Last Stand at Nymboida (Trailer)
Last Stand at Nymboida is a unique and extraordinary story that began in February 1975 when a group of underground coal miners at the remote Nymboida colliery near Grafton were handed their notice after their employer declared bankruptcy. The 30 determined mineworkers refused to accept the sack and the loss of their entitlements and began a work-in with the support of their Union. The Union was awarded the lease and with the miners ran the mine successfully for more than four years. After the mine's closure in 1979 a new chapter in Australian industrial history began when the Miners Union was granted a new lease to a modern Hunter Valley coal mine operated by United Collieries in Singleton. Profits from the tonnage were used to establish the Mine Workers Trust which has supported the men, their families and their communities since 1989.

Pattie (Little Pattie) - What's Your Mama's Name
In the early days of Tanya Tucker's career, Australian artists were mining her songbook right, left & centre. Helen Reddy had a big hit with "Delta Dawn". Brenda Kristen did "Blood Red & Going Down", Judy Stone covered "Would You Lay With Me (In A Field Of Stone)" and, there was this one...Little Pattie with "What's Your Mama's Name?" It was released in Australia in August 1973 on an ATA 45, K5250. It did not chart, and it had an uphill battle from the start, because, on the stations that did play it, it had to compete for airplay with Tanya's version which had been released on a CBS 45. Gina Rineheart's Vogon Poetry Slam
I have discovered a terrible secret, Gina Rhinehart is a VOGON. It all makes sense, the willingness to destroy large portions of the planet, the fascination with construction equipment, the physique and now, the piece de resistance, the POETRY. Poetry so mindshatteringly awful and self serving that it makes your large intestine want to throttle your brain to death. Not even Grunthos the Flatulent's "ode to a small lump of green putty I found in my armpit one midsummer's morn" or the infamous work of Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings of Sussex can compare with the dreaded awfulness of this turgid screed. Legend says that this stillborn poem was glued to a gigantic rock which was mined from the Pilbara and abandoned on the streets of the remote Western Australian capital city of Perth just down from a famous monument to a walrus, a shiny gold plaque almost entirely failing to justify the existence of this boulder which narrowly escaped the fate of most such rocks, being crushed and melted into steel reinforcement rods for building low cost chinese housing. Can you survive this hideous poem? Only time will tell. http://theworstofperth.com/2012/02/13/la-gina/ http://www.crikey.com.au/2012/02/13/geoff-lemon-gina-your-poetic-licence-is-revoked/ Our Future The globe is sadly groaning with debt, poverty and strife And billions now are pleading to enjoy a better life Their hope lies with resources buried deep within the earth And the enterprise and capital which give each project worth Is our future threatened with massive debts run up by political hacks Who dig themselves out by unleashing rampant tax The end result is sending Australian investment, growth and jobs offshore This type of direction is harmful to our core Some envious unthinking people have been conned To think prosperity is created by waving a magic wand Through such unfortunate ignorance, too much abuse is hurled Against miners, workers and related industries who strive to build the world Develop North Australia, embrace multiculturalism and welcome short term foreign workers to our shores To benefit from the export of our minerals and ores The world's poor need our resources: do not leave them to their fate Our nation needs special economic zones and wiser government, before it is too late.

Bali Property Prices: Looking To Invest In Bali Land? Grab Your Free Report "The Truth About Bali Land Investment" Go Now To: http://bit.ly/landbali Administrative divisions Administratively, Indonesia consists of 33 provinces, five of which have special status. Each province has its own legislature and governor. The provinces are subdivided into regencies (kabupaten) and cities (kota), which are further subdivided into districts (kecamatan), and again into village groupings (either desa or kelurahan). Furthermore, a village is divided into several citizen groups (Rukun-Warga (RW)) which are further divided into neighbourhood groups (Rukun-Tetangga (RT)). Following the implementation of regional autonomy measures in 2001, the regencies and cities have become the key administrative units, responsible for providing most government services. The village administration level is the most influential on a citizen's daily life and handles matters of a village or neighborhood through an elected lurah or kepala desa (village chief). The provinces of Aceh, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Papua, and West Papua have greater legislative privileges and a higher degree of autonomy from the central government than the other provinces. The Acehnese government, for example, has the right to create certain elements of an independent legal system; in 2003, it instituted a form of Sharia (Islamic law). Yogyakarta was granted the status of Special Region in recognition of its pivotal role in supporting Indonesian Republicans during the Indonesian Revolution. Papua, formerly known as Irian Jaya, was granted special autonomy status in 2001 and was separated into Papua and West Papua in February 2003. Jakarta is the country's special capital region.
